Terms of Service

These terms set the baseline rules for using Velour during private beta. Velour is for verified adults who agree to privacy, consent, and respectful conduct.

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to use an adults-only dating service in your location. By joining the waitlist, onboarding, signing in, or using Velour, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Private beta access

Velour may approve, invite, pause, reject, or remove access at its discretion, especially during private beta. An invitation is personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, or used to impersonate another person.

3. Account and verification

You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. Velour may require identity verification through Stripe Identity or another provider before enabling certain features, matches, or reveal steps.

4. Consent-first matching

Velour is built around explicit consent. A match, score, or notification does not guarantee contact, a meeting, attraction, compatibility, or continued access. Direct contact details stay hidden unless the product rules permit the next step. You may decline a match at any time where the product allows it.

5. Acceptable use

  • No minors, exploitation, trafficking, coercion, harassment, threats, stalking, or illegal activity.
  • No non-consensual explicit media, revenge content, deepfakes, impersonation, or pressure to share private material.
  • No scams, spam, phishing, scraping, automated account abuse, or attempts to bypass safety systems.
  • No hate, intimidation, doxxing, blackmail, or sharing another person's information without consent.
  • Respect boundaries, consent choices, identity verification requirements, and product safety decisions.

6. AI-assisted product behavior

Velour may use AI-assisted systems to help generate chemistry profiles, rank matches, identify risk signals, prepare private intros, and enforce consent-based reveal status. These systems can be imperfect. You should use judgment, report concerns, and never treat a match score as a guarantee.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Paid features may be billed through Stripe. Subscription terms, pricing, renewals, cancellation, taxes, and payment methods may be shown at checkout or in the billing portal. Access to paid features can change during private beta as the product evolves.

8. Content and profile information

You are responsible for the information you submit. You grant Velour permission to use submitted information as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service. You must not submit content that violates the law, another person's rights, or these terms.

9. Suspension and termination

Velour may suspend, restrict, or terminate access for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, fraud, non-payment, or violation of these terms. You may request account deletion by contacting privacy@joinvelour.com.

10. Disclaimers

Velour is provided during private beta and may change, pause, or experience errors. We do not guarantee matches, dates, relationships, identity outcomes, verification success, availability, revenue, or any specific result.
